It is known that Abraham Lincoln delivered the classic speech, the Gettysburg Address, at the dedication of a national cemetery at Gettysburg in 1863.  It is one of the greatest expressions of democracy in American history.  Lincoln pondered the delivery for days and created five drafts before he settled on the perfected document that he signed.  It is a touchstone of American history.
